Description
Up for auction is a vintage professional 1949 H. N. White King Super 20 "Silver Sonic" tenor saxophone. All keys move freely and the pads/corks are in good condition.This tenor saxophone has full pearls, a sterling silver bell, a double socket sterling silver neck, elaborate bell/key engraving and gold plating on the inner bell/on bell engraved areas.
There are no major dents present and several minor dings don't affect performance. This tenor sax has scratches throughout from normal use and the lacquer wear is minimal, with approximately 85-90% of lacquer intact(possibly not the original lacquer). The matching neck/body serial number is in the low 298,xxx range, which dates the year of manufacture to approximately 1949. This tenor sax plays fine now, but may require minor adjustments after shipping and for personal preference. Part of the pearl touch piece on the Gb/Ab left pinkie key is missing and a piece of cork has been substituted as the touch surface. Included is a like new Gator tenor sax case(includes two keys and a case carrying strap) and a brass body tenon cap.
No mouthpiece is included.
